ikusmen-osasunean duen arreta-gaitasuna. Optometria pediatrikoa ez da helduaren medikuntza haurrari aplikatua: gaitasun espezifikoak behar ditu hazkuntzak eta garapenak markatutako bizitzako etapa bat artatzeko. Haurren ikusmen-urritasunek eragina dute eskola-errendimenduan, etorkizuneko aurreikuspenetan, bide-segurtasunean eta, oro har, garaiz zuzendu gabe, behin betiko ondorioak dituzte, ikus-sistemaren garapenak bizitzako lehen 8-9 urteetan esku hartzen baitu.<\/p><p>Mozambikeko Osasun Ministerioak eskatu du prestakuntza hori, eta erakunde publikoetan (ospitaleak, osasun-zentroak&#8230;) lan egiten duten oftalmologo eta optometristei zuzenduta dago.
